An uncommon antimony, zinc, mercury, wolfram, lead, iron-bearing quartz vein system at Fojnica, Mid-Bosnian Schist Mountains
The Čemernica vein is located in the Lower Palaeozoic metasediments and metarhyolites. K-Ar dating gave three metamorphic phases: 343 Ma, 120-90 Ma and 46-37 Ma. Paragenesis of the vein: quartz (50-95 % of the ore mass), antimonite, sphalerite, cinnabar, chalcedony, jamesonite, berthierite, boulangerite, plagionite and ferberite predominate over siderite, arsenopyrite, pyrrhotite, marcasite, pyrite. The d34S in SbyS3 is + 2.6%o, + 3.71%o in ZnS. Fluid inclusions in quartz are aqueous and aqueous-carbonic. Ore forming fluids are preserved as well (L+V), Th 150-300 C, Te-25 C, Tm Ice -16.6 to -11 C, salinity 14.9 to 20.2 wt% NaCl equ., and (L+V) Te -31.2 C, 16,9 Wt% NaCl equ. Th 330 C. Analytical data indicate polyphase mineralization.
