Estimating fragmentation of blasted rock mass with "SB" programme
Prognoses and analyses of blasted rock mass fragmentation have increased in importance, because primary fragmentation can significantly decrease the cost of crushing and secondary breaking into small pieces, on the condition the correct geometry of drilling and blasting parametres are used. The article shows estimation of fragmentation using the "SB" programme, which was created by the author of this article. It also shows calibration of factors, both given for the "Sveti Juraj" Quarry near Split. The resultin calibrated value of the rock enables the prognosis of high quality fragmentation, in further blastin works with changed drilling geometry, and also facilitates simulation in the programme, to optimize blasting works, in order to get the desired fragmentations of the blasted rock mass.
