Vardar Zone of the Dinarides and Hellenides versus the Vardar Ocean
The Vardar Zone is interpreted as the product of geodynamic processes wich took place in BARB during the Cretaceous/Early Paleogene. It is the most internal geotectonic unit of the Dinarides which extends northwestward into the Zagorje-Mid-Transdanubian Zone. It is very propable that the Vardar Zone represent the southeasternmost exstension of the Periadriatic Lineament.
