The 1871 Klasnić Hoard (Medieval Hungarian Coins - Medieval Italian (Gorizia - Padova - Venezia) Coins - Contemporary Forgeries).
The 1871 Klasnić hoard is one of the most important silver treasures of the 14th c. in Croatia. Coins from this hoard represent a relatively high percentage of the entire systematic collection of Venetian and Hungarian silverlings of that period in the Zagreb Archaeological Museum Numismatic Collection. Computerization and the programme NUMIZ, developed by the Ljubljana National Museum Numismatic cabinet have made this considerable and tedious task ofpossible. The percentages of silver coins according to rulers are as follows: Hungary Ludovic I....................748 (41.44%) Maria..........................4 Gorizia Meinhard III...................1 Padova Jacopo II......................3 Venice F.Dandolo.....................18 (0.99%) B.Gradenigo....................1 A.Dandolo.....................47 (2.60%) M.Falier.......................1 G.Gradenigo...................37 (2.06%) G.Dolfin.....................110 (6.09%) L.Celsi.......................64 (3.55%) M.Corner......................29 (1.61%) A.Contarini..................718 (39.78%) M.Morosini.....................7 (0.41%) A.Venier.......................8 (0.44%)
