Improving Boundary Elements Method in Design of Hydrostatic Bearings
This paper presents original equation for calculation of average pressure in hydrostatic bearings with parallel surfaces by simple integration of lubricant flow over bearings boundary. Lubricant flow over bearings boundary is found as solution of integral equation of equilibrium, which can be approximated with ordinary system of linear equations by application of boundary elements method. Expressions for calculation of pressure in the bearing and lubricant flow through the bearing are also presented.
