Some considerations about the HCR gear's load distribution calculation
High transverse contact ratio (HCR) gears are becoming more and more popular in modern gear's designs such as car's, truck's, ship's and aircraft's gear's transmissions. HCR gears in many cases proved much better characteristics in exploitation compared to the usual low contact ratio gears (LCR), such as a greater load capacity, more uniform torque transmission and noise reduction. In this paper, the problem of the HCR gear's load distribution calculation is researched. The load distribution on HCR gear tooth pairs in mesh has been calculated on the basis of their elastic deformations using the newly developed software.
