Advantages and disadvantages of using Wolfram’ s Mathematica as a teaching tool in courses with large audience of students
In this work we will present some examples of using Wolfram's Mathematica in teaching mathematics at the Faculty of Engineering. All the lectures have been done using Mathematica are well anlyzed using surveys and exams. This method is also compared with classical methods of teaching. There is a distinctive difference between working with small and large audience of students. Therefore, we especially analyzed advantages and disadvantages of using Mathematica in these two situations. In the conclusion we will present some possibilities of using e-learning applications with Mathematica as well as the analysis of student's knowledge by way of contrast to classical methods.
