Characterization of subsurface defects in building envelope and flat roof structure by means of thermography supported by numerical simulation
Infrared thermography can be successfully applied as a thermal non-destructive method for the determination and characterization of subsurface defects in building envelope or flat roof structure. The paper presents the comparison of quantitative results obtained by numerical simulation and by thermographic measurements. The advantage of numerical simulation is in its possibility to give results for different wall and roof structures exposed to various initial and boundary conditions.
