DETECTION OF OSMOTIC DAMAGES IN GRP BOAT HULLS
Osmotic process in glass reinforced polymer (GRP) submerged structures is an unavoidable degradation process occurring in structures such as boat hull is. The surface of such structures with several obstructive layers is hard to be evaluated with standard pulsed heating thermography approach. Thus an alternative based on a Fast Fourier Transformation is presented as a reliable tools for damage detection and evaluation of structures and surfaces such as boat hull is.
