Inhibition effect of the platinum and palladium dithiocarbamato complexes on phytopatogenic phungus Botrysphaerria dothidea

As dithiocarbamato (DTC) group is part of many biologically active compounds, metal dithiocarbamato complexes have a wide variety of applications in diverse fields ranging from agriculture to medicine. Among DTC group, triammonia imino-N, N-diacetatodithiocarbamate, (NH4)3idadtc, previously shown an inhibition effect on the phytopatogenic phungi Phomopsis viticola Sacc and Botrysphaerria dothidea. Thus, this DTC we used as ligand for the synthesis of complexes with Pt and Pd ions. Obtaned complexes are characterized by elemental analyzes and IR and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Their antifungal activity has been studied on Botrysphaerria dothidea by measuring its inhibition growth when exposed to various concentrations of DTC complexes. Used inhbitory concentration of DTC complexes ranged 0.0187, 0.094, 0.047, 0.023 and 0.012 %. Data were statistically analyzed by LSD (lest square difference test) ; the synthesized complexes showed a certain phytotoxic effect, especially DTC complex with Pt(IV) as metal ion, but significantly less than mancozeb fungicide.
