Croatian transport system within European and Mediterranean transportation framework

Croatia has an extremely suitable transport and geographical position within the European, Mediterranean and world transport trends. Its ientire region is bridge that links Europe, Africa and Asia. During the centuries Croatia has been tending to provide the transport conection between its two by the mountains divided economies: The Pannonien (contintntal) and the Coastal (Mediterranean). Beside all of these eforts there are also numerous inhereted constraints of the Croatian transport system. The paper elaborates the problems of the role of the Croatian transport system in the national economy as well as in the European and Mediterranean transport system.
