The treat of attacks, the climate change, the earthquake are a few examples of the kind of applications we seek to address in this work. The problems of such diversity call for the expertise in probability theory, interaction problems and modeling and computational techniques. All the specialists have contributed to the successful accomplishment of the hazard reduction goal set for our meeting.
