Implementation of ergonomic judgement of the passenger workload in virtual aircraft cabin space

The work gives a description of determining the virtual three-dimensional movement of a model based on real movement of examinees in a simulated aircraft cabin space. Based on the thus realized movable model, the examinees' efforts have been analysed by means of determining the changes in the increment of the resulting force and the resulting combinations for the selected point of side spine at the level of vertebra L4/L5. The results are presented by a series of kinetograms, and then in tables and graphically. Based on the determined results, the values of marginal forces and marginal combinations of forces have been defined, which satisfy the recommended amounts of safety values that match the values recommended by the standards. For the presented working process of an examinee entering the aircraft cabin carrying a suitcase weighing 100 N and lifting it to the level of the overhead luggage bin, then sitting down supported by hands, and vice versa (i.e. getting up, taking the suitcase and leaving the cabin), the intra-abdominal pressures range in an interval from 4 to 7 kPa, whereas the values of lumbar moments (L4/L5) range within 57.8 to 91.9 Nm, with abdominal forces ranging from 84 to 147 N. The values of marginal combinations of forces that may be tolerated for a safe load are: My = 150 Nm, Mx = 93.7 Nm, Mz = 30 Nm. The total value of the tolerant combination is 179.4 Nm.
