Strategy and organization of the official national geodata production – Croatian experience
During the last ten years a completely new System for production of national official spatial data (geodata) has been developed and implemented in the Republic of Croatia (RoC). Geodata have been organized and arranged in form of various standardized photogrammetric, topographic and cartographic products that are available for all national users. The production system is based and built on partner-oriented relationship of public and private sector and it has been systematically de-veloped by means of legal, institutional, organizational, technological and procedural framework. It resulted out of intensive activities of the State Geodetic Administration (SGA) of the RoC to create an appropriate and adequate basis of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI). The Croatian System for production of national geodata is quite specific and characterized by the combination of European and international practice in the field of national geodata production adjusted to specific Croatian circumstances.
