The 38 Croatian, Slovenian and Czech constitutional documents reflect the development of the modern national movements of these Middle and South East European Slavic peoples and their political and cultural efforts to emancipate themselves from the Habsburg monarchy around 1848. Here the two imperial "Cabinet Letters for Bohemia" are of particular importance for the Czech middle classes. For Croatia, the "Petition of Rights of the National Movement of the Triune Kingdom of Dalmatia, Croatia and Slavonia", and for Slovenia, the a "Programme of United Slovenia" are of pre-eminent significance.

Radi se o višjezičnom kritičkom izdanju najvažnijih dokumenata iz triju zemalja na izvornim jezicima, uz višejezične opće uvode te komentare pojedinih dokumenata i preglednom bibliografijom. Dalibor Čepulo je, uz pomoć Dunje Pastović i Mirele Krešić, uredio hrvatske dokumente (na hrvatskom i njemačkom jeziku) dok je Mirela Krešić, jedna od suradnica u projektu, uredila slovenske dokumente.
