Radovan's portal

It is posible that the construction of the portal of Trogir Cathedral may be linkked with the prosperity of the Koloman's rule, as the tympanuum is specifically dated 1240.The concept of the original portal has to be put into the context of the reconstruction of the cathedral's vestibule in Radovan's time. It was significantly smaller than today's version, just big enough to cover the entrance to the church in front of the main nave. Up to point, its apperance could be compared to the monumental passage at the foot ot the bell-tower in Split Cathedral.
