Vera Erlich Stein: Odyssey of a Croatian-Jewish Intellectual

The life story of Vera Erlich Stein as a telling example how an extraordinary individual tried to come to terms with a patriarchal society in otherwise fragmented political culture of interwar Yugoslavia. Erlich's attempts to foster more democratic and pluralist methods in academic and political work remained marginal in Yugoslavia of the 1930s and again unsuccessful in the post-World War II period.
