Proposal of Improvements to Mobility in the City of Sisak
The population’s mobility is becoming increasingly difficult, primarily due to the uncontrolled growth in personal car traffic - especially in the cities and surrounding towns. Integrated passenger transport represents a logistical platform for the optimum management of population mobility using public transport. Integrated passenger transport enables optimal management of transport supply and demand, and thus represents a sustainable transport system in terms of economy, ecology and spatial planning. The paper shows the approach to the management of transport demand incorporated into plans for sustainable urban mobility (SUPM), a review of the present state of mobility in the area of the City of Sisak, and a case study of integrated passenger transport in the territory of the City of Sisak. The paper will investigate not only public integrated transport system but it will be incorporated also public bicycle. At final stage of mobility plan we will have in the territory of the City of Sisak unique public transport system that unified railway, busses and bicycles.
