Reformation Studies in the Croatian Context: Possibilities and Perspectives
Starting from the assumption that Reformation is one of the most representative transnational and translational processes and practices within the early modern European culture, this paper aims at scrutinizing cognitive, interpretative and practical research possibilities of dominant theoretical paradigms in the contemporary Reformation studies. Alongside established research paradigms such as confessionalization theory, this paper examines the analytical and interpretive possibilities and perspectives of current theoretical approaches such as cultural transfer theory, confessional mobility theory, historical network analysis, intermedia studies, historical imagology and history of religious emotions for the historical study of Reformation, with special regard to their heuristic potential for discerning distinctive features of the Reformation movement in the Croatian lands.
