The refugee crisis in Europe showed that forces that shape borders have changed its direction. Militarization and hardening of the regimes of border security due to the crisis influenced all types of migrations. Shift in those trends in Europe did not happen evenly or territorially similar. Nevertheless, some parts and regions did not undergo through all the phases of contemporary border concepts change due to due to security issues, challenges or frozen conflicts.
