Incorporating neurodidactics and music: Body percussion as an everyday teaching practice
In recent years, cognitive neurosciences have greatly influenced both education sciences and psychology, creating neurodidactics: a teaching science that studies the full potentioal of human beings, from early ages of life to old age, thanks to this feature called 'brain placticity', which indicates that the human brain continuously learns and adapts. Music (as one of the art subjects) is rarely mentioned, although its beneficial influence on the brain is well documented. The goal of this workshop is to point out the benefits music can have on learning skills and to present body percussion as an effective music tool in everyday teaching practice.
