Another look at environmental radon-222
The radiation dose of high alpha and high beta energy particles from radon daughters to the brain was assessed. It was calculated that during the lifetime of 72 years every brain cell can get damaged and even destroyed. Possible implications for the development of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease were discussed relative to the previous Momčilović&Lykken hypothesis.
