Deontological traits of intercultural communication as regards language teachers
The intercultural perspective in the learning/teaching of languages seems unaviodable today. Multiculturality is a process that cannot be stopped. The knowledge about the importance of cultural contents and the necessity to value its presence in language classes are obstructed by the problems of various origins. The task of definig the educational contributions to good civil cohabitation has not been fully accomplished yet. Naturally, this is caused by a group of criteria, values, and norms, based on the orientation of didactic strategies. Ethics seems to be the only social fact in compliance with objective and formal criteria, but it evolves into the inner perception of individual considering his/her subjective and free will. In order to evaluate the weak points as well as the reasons, teacher uses heuristic and decisive strategies resulted from his/her own experience.
