Josip Radković (Zagreb, 1859 - 1924) was the second engraver and medallist in Zagreb, a pupil and successor of the first, Franjo Kares. Besides being trained in Zagreb, Radković also went to Vienna. He opened a workshop in 1883, moving it to Ilica St. No. 19 in 1891. He is the author of various medals issued on the occasion of royal visits, sports' meetings, fairs and exhibitions, or by local fire brigades, choral societies etc. struck between 1888 (the Great Maneuvres in Croatia and the visit of Archduke Rudolph and his consort Stepahnie and 1910 (Antun de Mihanović medal). Dragutin Mandl described fifteen medals, but there must have been many more unsigned ones, as well as various pilgrims' medals, tokens, or even dogs' tags. Radković was a leading citizen of Zagreb, the founder of the Zagreb Fair and member of commities of a few important banks.
